Self driven

For me, the pleasure of having a vehicle, is that you can drive it. The notion of automobiles driving themselves is atrocious.
I love the feel of controling a powerful auto (I won't buy anything under  eight cylinders!).
There's something fulfilling about commanding a series of small explosions that propel me to my destination.
The experts claim safer and better use of roads if a automated system was used. It would cut the number of auto deaths, so the experts say.
I say, if we have accidents because we are human, then an automated system would fair no better in reducing accidents because humans designed the system.
