Risk

How can one man risk his life to save another!? What is that mindset like? What really goes through your head?
I could see a person thinking, I'm stronger, and faster then then anyone here, I can best save that person with little or no injuries to myself!
Everyone will try to save a child, probably because it hasn't had a chance at life, and somehow it just doesn't seem fair.
To try and save an adult at risk to your own life is like saying that is my life too. Somehow we feel that connection of we are one.
I don't know, I just trying to make sense of it.
Maybe there is no sense to be made.
