Shake on it

Seeing two women shake hands feels unfamiliar to me, even though I see it all the time. Something about it feels strange. I have no problem seeing men do this, it seems the right thing for a man to do.
As I understand it, handshaking was a means to take advantage of the other man by bringing him in closer and stabbing, clubbing or punching, ect. And taking his valuables.
Even today symbolically, that's what going on when two men shake hands.

Women should pretend to kiss each other on the cheek as a greeting, or just say hello. I am told this is hard for them to do because females can't stand other females. Perhaps, this is why they prefer the hand shake!
